The Incentive Program demo is live on Steam
Outplay Entertainment today released a free demo of The Incentive Program on Steam, marking the studio's first original title for PC. A dopamine-fuelled match-3 roguelite set inside a surreal corporate nightmare, The Incentive Program is developed and self-published by Outplay, with the full game scheduled for release in Q1 2027.
Welcome to the OrphiTech family. Players take up a role as an Incentive Program operator, with a job description that is refreshingly simple: play the game, upgrade your workstation, hit your quotas, don't ask questions, and get paid. Behind the terminal, match-3 puzzles erupt into satisfying combo chains, and a carefully planned move can trigger reactions worth hundreds of times its original value. Every move counts, because the quotas keep climbing.
Hard-earned cash buys power at the office's oddly convenient vending machine: rule-breaking trinkets, chance-bending floppy disks, and emergency snacks that turn a single match into an impossible run. The demo offers a first taste of the build-crafting at the heart of the full game, which will ship with more than 150 trinkets, 50 floppy disks, 50 overclocks, boss levels built to punish careless builds, and multiple starting loadouts.
There is also something going on at OrphiTech. With each shift, players learn a little more about the wonderful ongoings at the company, and if anything strange should appear, the Janitorial Services Department will handle it. There is nothing to worry about.
"The Incentive Program is what happens when a studio with fifteen years of match-3 craft lets its imagination off the leash," said Richard Hare, Co-CEO and Co-Founder of Outplay Entertainment. "We have built puzzle games loved by millions of players. This one is stranger, darker, and funnier than anything we have made before, and putting it on Steam as our first PC title says a lot about where Outplay is heading. The demo is our invitation: come and clock in."
The Incentive Program is a single-player experience with runs lasting 10 to 30 minutes, saveable mid-session, and the full game will support controllers and Steam Deck. Every part of it is lovingly crafted by real humans.
The free demo is available now on Steam. Players can wishlist the full game here, visit theincentiveprogram.com, or join the community on Discord.
